Dry Air Systems

DESCRIPTION:  Baron USA provides three styles of portable dry air systems for field transformer servicing to eliminate the need to carry bottled nitrogen or dry air for vacuum break, dewpoint testing, and purging:

- DAS: Dry Air Systems: come in a few cfm ratings with both -40 °C and -70 °C capability.  These systems are perfect for providing dry air for breaking vacuum on a transformer after drying and for dew point testing.

- PAS: Purge Air Systems: Utilize screw compressor with food grade oil and add a CO monitor so that the system can also be used as dry purge air for a work area.

- BAS: Breathable Air Systems: adds a CO scrubber in addition to the monitoring and utilize oil-free scroll compressors for OSHA CFR1910.134, CSA Z180.1-13, CGA G-7, ANSI Z88.2-1080 compliance.

SYSTEM CAPACITIES:   DAS & PAS are available in 30 (7.5 HP), 52 (15 HP) and 212 (50 HP) cfm standard capacities with 30, 60 or 200-gallon receiver tank as standard.  BAS models are available in 21 (7.5 HP), 65 (10 HP) and 88 (20 HP) cfm standard capacities.

FEATURES: Lab & instrument quality air provided by high quality, quiet screw compressors; refrigerated and/or heatless modular desiccant dryer with microprocessor control; particle filter, carbon adsorption filter and all stainless-steel pipe; and tubing; receiver sized to optimize space and to minimize short-cycling.

CONFIGURATIONS: Baron USA air system are often integrated into Baron HV series transformer purification trailers. They are also available in a dedicated box trailer or stationary for purchaser integration.

AVAILABLE OPTIONS:  Vaisala dewpoint monitors, CO monitors, -70 °C Dewpoint capability (-93 °F) in lieu of -40°C, generator to power compressor, and others.
